Short answer: There is no single price. The cost of an Odoo implementation depends on how many apps and users you need, how much data you migrate, how many other systems you connect and whether you need custom development. A small, focused project costs far less than a multi-department rollout.
What are the two parts of the cost?
- Odoo subscription: paid to Odoo S.A., based on your plan and number of users. Prices are listed on Odoo's own pricing page.
- Implementation services: paid to the partner or consultant who sets up Odoo for you — analysis, configuration, data migration, training and go-live support.
What makes an implementation cost more or less?
| Factor | Lower cost | Higher cost |
|---|---|---|
| Number of apps | 1–2 apps (e.g. Accounting, CRM) | Many apps across departments |
| Data migration | Opening balances only | Years of history, several systems |
| Integrations | None or standard connectors | Custom API integrations |
| Custom development | Standard Odoo + Studio | Custom modules |
| Users and training | Small team | Many roles and locations |
How can you keep the cost under control?
- Start with the apps that remove the most double entry, then add more in phases.
- Use standard Odoo wherever possible — custom code costs more today and at every upgrade.
- Clean your data before migration.
- Get a written scope before work starts.
Why can't a partner give an exact price right away?
Because two companies with the same number of users can have very different processes and data. An honest estimate comes after a short discovery of what you actually need.
