How are accounting balances validated?
Reldanor compares the trial balance, aged receivables and aged payables from QuickBooks with the same reports in Odoo at the cut-over date. Differences are traced to individual documents and corrected before go-live. You receive the comparison reports as part of the project.
Many companies also run a short parallel period, entering key transactions in both systems for a few weeks to build confidence. Reldanor recommends this when the finance team is new to Odoo.
How is downtime kept to a minimum?
Most preparation happens on a test database while you keep working in QuickBooks. The final cut-over usually takes place over a weekend or at month-end: the last balances are exported, imported and validated, and the team starts the next business day in Odoo.
